Such a cute couple, Leah and Alex spent the morning getting ready in completely different ways. While the boys hit the Jager bombs hard to warm up for the day, Leah and the girls had a lovely buffet at her family home. A great setting for makeup and a portrait with a wooden dog, along with a glass or two of prosecco, the girls had a chilled and fun morning getting ready for the big day.

I loved that moment Leah came around the corner of the stairs in her dress looking absolutely stunning, with father and bridesmaids waiting. There was then just enough time for a few pre-wedding presents as Alex had some beautiful personal message cards and necklace sent to Leah which was a touching moment.

At the arrival of St Mary’s church Cardiff, we were able to re-create an original photograph of Leah’s mother and father at their wedding, which was really special to see both generations married at the same church. A beautiful grand venue accompanied by a male voice choir, set the scene for a lovely wedding ceremony.

The reception was at De Courceys Manor Cardiff, where they’d rolled out the red carpet ready for the happy couple. This is such an elegant, intimate wedding venue where the staff were amazing to both of us as photographers. The front of the building set a gorgeous backdrop for group formals, and the grounds offered space to spend with the new couple where we took advantage of the tree swing!

After food and the emotion of the speeches, the party was able to get into full swing, accompanied by an amazing magician the magic continued into the night. While the live band kept everyone entertained, we were able to nip outside with Leah and Alex for a romantic moment in front of the night time fairy lights.
