Cefn Tilla Court really is an incredible place to get married. One of the things that really stands out for me is how well the day flows there. Whether it’s an outdoor or indoor ceremony, the location of each of the rooms and outdoor area’s feed so well together. There’s quiet nooks, and area’s for guest to chill out, beautiful grounds walk around, and really functional spaces for people to gather and enjoy. It’s an absolute joy to work there, as the staff are fantastic too, and go above and beyond to make sure you have an amazing day.
When Amy & Brad contacted me to say they were getting married at Cefn Tilla Court, I was elated as I always am with this wedding venue. I just love being a Cefn Tilla Court Wedding Photographer.
When I first walked into the bridal suite for the bride prep, it was immediately like a dream wedding! The girls were just on top form having a really good time. This is gold for a photographer, and exactly what I love to see! I setup to capture Amy’s details like jewellery, perfume, flowers and shoes and all the special things a bride wears on the day. As there was so much going on, I was back and fourth to make sure I didn’t miss documenting the atmosphere of the bridal prep. It was just a really good laugh.
My second photographer spent the morning with Brad and the boys, which is always lovely for the bride to see after the wedding. We always keep things super chilled, documenting things with some formal portraits.
The couple decided on outdoor ceremony, which is so beautiful at Cefn Tilla next to the pond. I love the long walk the girls get from the house over to the pond, with the guests early waiting and taking peeks to see them. It’s so exciting to see the nervousness of the groom from the front, while the girls walk across the courtyard. I always encourage the bridal party to take their time and enjoy their moment.
After the ceremony, confetti is usually done straight back down the aisle, which doesn’t happen at most venue and is a nice touch. As the guests walk back to the house I like to take big group shot of everyone in front of the house before they go grab drinks. This flows so well with minimal interruption to your day.
The weather was lovely so guests mingled in the gardens, and after the couple had a chance to have a catch up with their guests, we took some family group photos. Then I headed out with Amy & Brad for a walk around the grounds of Cefn Tilla Court, while taking some intimate photos of the two of them. After some food and speeches, the lighting outside had become a lot softer since we now had cloud cover. This is perfect for flattering soft lighting. I always keep an eye on the lighting throughout the day to catch moments like this. Including later in the evening where I could see it was looking like we were going to have a sunset and beautiful golden light. I asked Amy & Brad if they’d like to go out after the first dance, which they did. We quickly headed out over to an area I know really catches the light. It doesn’t take long to capture these moments, and it means you get a good variety throughout the day.
What a stunning day to be a Cefn Tilla Court wedding photographer! Amy & Brad’s wedding had it all!
