Sant Ffraed House is one of the best wedding venues in South Wales. Run by the Oldwalls Collection who have other wedding venues in South Wales – Oldwalls, Gower and Fairyhill, Gower. All classed as luxury wedding venues. Sant Ffraed House is the newest venue in the collection, and an incredible amount of design has gone into renovating this Grade II listed building we are fortune enough to see today.
Bride Katie was actually the first bride to have her prep done at the newly renovated Jenny’s on the grounds, which is a lovely addition to accommodate the bridal party. Once the makeup was all done we headed over to the bridal suite in the main house which is simply stunning. What I love about this Bridal suite is the separate room, full of mirrors and jukebox to pop on some tunes while putting on those finishing touches. It’s nice to have a bit of a chill at this point and I get the opportunity to take some photos of the bride before making an entrance for the girls and dad. One of my favourite moments of the day!
The ceremony room is something else at Sant Ffraed House. You can actually position yourself in two separate places here, depending how it fits your day – In front or behind the pillars. Behind the pillars gives you more of an intimate setting for close family with a slight separation to the rest of your guests. Some couples favour this.
After the nuptials, confetti and group photo, all the guests headed over to the K-Room for cocktails. The bar area has a great party atmosphere, while not feeling enclosed due to the large stretch of windows everywhere. The reception area has their signature curve which bends towards the lake on the grounds. The sunsets in front of this area, so can offer beautiful warm light in the evenings.
The party atmosphere was electric, with music supplied by Jeris throughout the whole day. The couple made an epic entrance into their wedding breakfast, with the classic swinging of the napkins. The guests were loving it, so we made sure to get stuck in a capture all the excitement from the guests.
The cocktails and dancing continued, with a quick dress change from Katie, which was awesome. I stayed late to capture the carnage which ended one of the best weddings of the year! All I have to say is please book me as your wedding photographer at Sant Ffraed House, we have some of the best party’s!
